In the big wide world of Etsy I met an incredibly talented artist today. Welcome to Southern Colorings, all original artwork done by self-taught artist Majo. This painting above is called "Night Lights" and is my favourite. In her profile Majo described herself as "never had an art lesson, but I love to load up my brush and see what comes out". What comes out is definitely something I call natural gifted talent, because each painting is so expertly and beautifully painted, each with its own story, each speaking to you right from the artist's heart.
And Majo has more than one talent. She can write too, in fact she is a published author. Visit her blog at http://southerncolorings.blogspot.com/ and read some of the stories behind those paintings. You will be impressed, you will be mesmerized. I know I am. Not only that, I am jealous, I am inspired, and I wish I have that kind of talent too. Maybe I should go load up my brush too, although I am quite sure not even anything half as nice would turn out :P. Guess I should just stick to my trade.
